This document specifies requirements, test methods and performance criteria for thermal image fire detectors (TIFD), which operate in the infrared spectrum, for use in fire detection and alarm systems installed in and around buildings.

Detectors developed for the protection of specific risks that incorporate special characteristics (including additional features or enhanced functionality for which this document does not define a test or assessment method) are beyond the scope of this document.

This document specifies design, assembly, installation and commissioning requirements for pump sets for use in sprinkler systems conforming to EN 12845:2015+A1:2019. Where applicable, this document can also be used for pump sets for other water based fixed firefighting systems.
