This document specifies the characteristics of hexagon thin nuts (style 0), in steel and stainless steel, with metric fine pitch thread 8 mm to 64 mm, and with product grades A and B.
Thin nuts used as jam nuts are to be assembled together with a regular or high nut.
WARNING — Thin nuts (style 0) have a reduced loadability compared to regular nuts or high nuts, and are not designed to provide resistance to thread stripping (see ISO 898-2).
If in certain cases other specifications are requested, stainless steel grades and property classes can be selected from ISO 3506-2.

This part of ISO 683 specifies the technical delivery requirements for five groups of wrought ball and roller bearing steels as listed in Table 3, namely
— through-hardening bearing steels (steels with about 1 % C and 1 % to 2 % Cr),
— case-hardening bearing steels,
— induction-hardening bearing steels (unalloyed and alloyed),
— stainless bearing steels, and
— high-temperature bearing steels.
This part of ISO 683 applies to the products and heat-treatment conditions given in Table 1 and the surface conditions given in Table 2.

This document specifies designs, dimensions, tolerances and technical requirements of spherical plain bearings rod ends for hydraulic fluid power cylinders.
The spherical plain bearings rod ends are used on piston rods of hydraulic cylinders for mechanical transmitting the cylinder force under oscillatory rotational and tilting movements. The design of the spherical plain bearing rod ends is based on the maximum forces resulting from the specified internal diameter of the cylinders and pressure according to ISO 6020 series and ISO 6022.
The dimensions and tolerances specified in this document have been selected to permit the design and use of spherical plain bearings rod ends which incorporate radial spherical plain bearings having various sliding material combinations. These spherical plain bearings can be requiring maintenance (steel/steel or steel bronze), maintenance-free (e.g. steel/PTFE1)) and/or sealed.
The specified tolerance values apply for finished spherical plain bearing rod ends before any coating, plating, ring splitting or fracturing.
Spherical plain bearings rod ends need not conform to the designs illustrated but compliance is required as regards dimensions and tolerances specified.
NOTE Spherical plain bearings rod ends for hydraulic fluid power cylinders can be used for other applications than hydraulic fluid power cylinders as well.
